The Fulfillment Engine (FE) makes it easy to print Packing Slips and Shipping Labels for your Shipment Groups. There are a few things that will need to be set up before you can use the FE.
What the ColdTrack Team will Handle:
- Your Initial Connection and Configurations
- And any edits you need via Change Requests
- Setting up Automation Plans:
- Release Orders Plan: This automatically sends Orders from CTL OMS to the FE, where they will become Shipments.
-
FE Shipment Group Plan: This automatically groups your Shipments to make everything more efficient.
- Note: You can also do this manually. See below for instructions!
- Schedule emails to keep track of your Groups:
- These emails will show Groups that haven’t been downloaded, have errors, or aren’t marked as shipped.
- Emails include links to download Shipping Labels and Packing Slips, or mark Shipments as Shipped.
- Note: You can send emails to different recipients on different schedules.
Once everything is set up, you can quickly open your Shipment Group from the FE Dashboard under the “Groups Not Downloaded” widget to download and print your labels prior to shipping.
Where to Find A Fulfillment Engine Shipment Group
You can find a FE Shipment Group in 2 places:
- Within the FE Shipment Group Table
- Within the FE Dashboard
Printing Shipping Labels and Packing Slips
- Open a FE Shipment Group Record from the FE Dashboard or Table.
- Confirm the Shipping Label Generation Progress shows “Complete”. If it gets stuck on a spot in this process, it will go to an “Errors” group. To resolve the errors, navigate to the Errors Group, select your Shipment Group, and follow the steps in the next section!
- Click “Open” on Collated PDF to preview your Packing Slips and Shipping Labels.
- Download and print the file from the pop out.
- You can also print only Packing Slips or only Shipping Labels as separate PDFs within the same section on the Group if you need.
Tracking Downloads: Check the Downloaded Collated PDF? field on the Shipment Group Record to see if your PDFs have been downloaded yet. This helps keep track of what's still pending for printing! These Groups will appear in the “Groups Not Downloaded” widget on the FE Dashboard.
