The Item Table holds data for all of your inventory items within ColdTrack Live. You can reference this to see how your items are specified for use with our operations team to get from our warehouse to customer hands.
- For Example: You want to confirm item descriptions match between ColdTrack Live and what you have listed on your shopping cart platform. You can navigate to the table and check the description:
ColdTrack Live is our OMS (Order Management System). It uses automated internal processes to sync Item data from the WMS (Warehouse Management System). This ensures consistency between the OMS and WMS to validate against during the order optimization workflow.
How to Navigate to the Item Table
Within the left-hand navigation menu, select the Inventory dropdown and select Items. From here, select Item:
You can also navigate to this by using the Quick Navigation Menu and searching “Item”:
How to Read the Item Table
Each row in the item table represents one item. All of the column data within the table is specific to the item. This includes: ID, description, category, dimensions, weight, SKU, and create/modify dates.
- ID: Item ID
- Description: Description of the item
- Category: A category is assigned to the item to indicate whether the item is frozen, ambient, or packaging.
- Dimensions: Length, Width, and Height of the Item in inches
- Weight: Weight of the Item in pounds
- SKU: Stock Keeping Unit
- Dates: Create and Modify Dates
How to Adjust the Item Table View
You can add filters to narrow down the data to only display items based on a specific criteria.
You can also add columns if you want to view more information on individual items, or remove columns to view less information on items.
- Columns: Determine the data displayed within each table row. Add columns by toggling them on within the dropdown to show additional data, or toggle them off to remove columns and hide what you do not want to see:
- Filters: Narrow down the data set to only include items that meet the filter criteria.
- For Example: You may want to only view items with the item category of “Frozen” to determine which items will have dry ice included in the order. To view this, go to the “Item Category” filter and set it to equal “Frozen”. When you click out of the filter, it will be applied and your data set will be narrowed down:
If you adjust your table in a way that you want to reuse, you can Create a Saved View to apply that view in the future!
Item Record
If you click on any of the Item Ids, you will be navigated to the Item Record, which has the same information as the Item Table broken down into the following sections for quick navigation: Identity, Properties, Dimensions, Item Substitutions Table Widget, and Dates. There is also an additional Item Substitutions Table Widget, which will display any existing substitution plans that set how to replace the SKU or short the item when it is out of stock.
